General Rules

**GENERAL RULE**

The philosophy of IQRA SCHOOL (IQS), is to foster a learning environment which reinforces the concepts of self-discipline and the acceptance of personal responsibility. In order to maintain an environment conducive to attaining the highest quality of education, there must exist certain disciplinary policies and procedures relating to student conduct which delineate unacceptable behavior and provide the basis for sound disciplinary practices with AHS. These policies and procedures will be enforced fairly, uniformly, and consistently.


**PUNCTUALITY:**
Parents should see that their children should be present at the school on time. Late comers will not be allowed to enter the school. Punctuality should be strictly observed. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken if the students come late to school habitually.

**ATTENDANCE:**
Students should come to the school regularly. 90% attendance is compulsory for promotion and good progress of the child.

**LEAVE OR ABSENCE:**
– If a student is absent for a day or two due to any reasons, a leave letter must be sent.
– If a student is absent for more than 15 days without intimating the school authorities, his/her name will be removed from the school rolls.

Note: Do not send the child if suffering from contagious diseases.

**DISCIPLINE:**
– The school strives to train the students in the Islamic code of conduct and aims at moulding well balanced, disciplined and scholarly individuals with the right convictions.
– Any misbehavior with school authorities on the part of the student or parent will result in removal of the student from school.
– Home assignments should be done regularly and fairly and submitted on time.
– Progress Reports are to be collected only by the Parents / Guardian on the days specified.

 

EXAMINATION AND PROMOTIONS

– **CLASSES NURSERY TO U.K.G.:** 2 Summative Assessment will be conducted through the year.
– **CLASS 1ST AND ABOVE:** 4 Formative Assessment and 2 Summative Assessment will be conducted through the year.
– No re-test or re-examination will be conducted if the student is absent, whatever the reason might be. The criteria for promotion will be the overall performance of the student throughout the year.
– A student who fails twice in the same class will be removed from the rolls and asked to leave the school.

**WITHDRAWALS:**
– Three months notice in writing must be given by the parent/guardian before a child is withdrawn. No transfer certificate will be issued unless all fee dues to the school are paid.
– Those who are admitted into the school and who subsequently wish to withdraw (during the academic year) for whatever reason, will forfeit the entire fees paid and also have to pay whole year tuition fee.
– Students who lack motivation and do not show progress in their work will be given a maximum of three letters of warning. If they fail to perform well, they are liable to be removed from the school and will be given transfer certificate.

**RULE REGARDING PAYMENT OF FEE:**
– The tuition fee should be paid in four quarters with the commencement of each quarter, failing to do so a fine of Rs 5/- per day will be collected.
– Fees once paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
– The fee card should be produced while remitting the fee.
– All the fee must be paid before the commencement of the Summative Assessment II.
– If the fee is in arrears for any one quarter, the pupils will not be allowed to attend classes or write any assessment and removed from the rolls of the school.
